This business has its share of heroes, both known, and not so well known. Here on the Central Coast of California, one of those unsung heroes was Gilley (as he was known by), who created some finesse baits that flat out worked here on the Central Coast for large and small mouth bass! We carried his jigs in our store for years. And then, after 25 years of pouring heads and helping thousands of anglers in the area catch bigger and better fish, he came into our store looking like he was tired. He revealed he had contracted a form of cancer commonly associated with pouring hot lead.
Gilley told me he had a couple hundred of these finesse jigs, all weedless, and perfect. He asked me to purchase them all so he could use the money for medical treatments. Of course, we did. In honor of Gilley, and his work, these jigs that we purchased for $1.75 each are now available for only $1.75, same as we paid for them. We just wanted his last batch of jigs to be available to as many anglers as possible, sort of a send off and thank you for Gilley. By the way? These jigs are first class, lots of frog hair, very hard Jighead, and very sharp hooks!
